Volunteer: Gardening to build food security with GardenWorks - 2025 Volunteer

Join our growing volunteer team and help improve food security and access to healthy foods right in your own backyard.  We have opportunities ranging from digging in the dirt to working on a computer.  People who volunteer weekly, dedicated groups that tackle a huge job once a season, people we can call on last minute for unexpected needs, and all manner of folks in between.   

Growing a vegetable garden at home?  YOU can donate homegrown produce to your local food pantry to help provide much-needed fresh produce options for their guests.  WE can help! Download the free Fresh Food Connect app and learn more about produce donation on our website.

Check our Volunteer page and SignUpGenius link for opportunities, including weekly "work and learn" hours at the Dupage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton (Mondays 9-10am and Thursdays 9:30-10:30am).
