Key Responsibilities

Theme Planning: Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and determine themes for magazine issues a year in advance.Submission Review: Read and review submissions and work with the team to select the best content for each quarterly issue.Copyediting & Proofreading: Polish articles, artworks, and videos, ensuring they are ready for publication, while honoring the voices of the submitters.Weekly Blog Creation: Take turns creating a blog post, choosing between writing, art, or video content.Communication: Engage with submitters, inform those selected of the next steps, and gently notify those whose submissions were not chosen.Creative Solutions: Explore alternative options for submissions not selected for the magazine issue - perhaps a future issue or a social media post?Design & Layout: Have a say in the design and layout of the magazine and video content, making it visually stunning and engaging.Recruitment: Help recruit new content contributors and fellow editorial team members.
