Opportunities From: Giving DuPage

The Treasure House, a resale shop located in Glen Ellyn, supports the needs of families and communities throughout DuPage County. Proceeds from the Treasure House benefit Metropolitan Family Services DuPage, which last year helped more than 8,000 low-income DuPage residents with counseling, parenting, mental health, housing assistance, senior programs and family support services.

Metropolitan Family Services seeks volunteers to assist with general office duties, such as filing, copying, faxing, and making phone calls.  Volunteers are needed for a 5-6 hour shift during the hours of 9:00 am - 4:30 pm (Monday through Friday) and must be available long-term.   Must be willing to undergo a background check. Office experience preferred.

 

Family Shelter Resale (2nd Chance shop) a resale shop located in Naperville supports the programs of Family Shelter Service which addresses the needs of survivors of domestic abuse. Proceeds from the Shop go to Family Shelter Service of Metropolitan Family Services DuPage. FSS provides assistance with orders of protection as well as thru the Domestic Violence Hotline at 630-469-5650.
