Why not sign up with some family or friends at the Christmas Tree Lot?!

It's the most wonderful time of the year - Tree Lot season!

The Outreach House is always looking for Spanish speaking volunteers to assist our guests during open hours.

First Things First, our program for infant and toddler needs, welcomes donations of baby items during our hours of operation (see below).

*** Consider doing a diaper drive

Diapers & baby wipes

Gently used clothes for sizes newborn to 5T

Board books and early readers

Infant and early childhood toys and small baby equipment including high chairs, play mats, etc.

No car seats, cribs, strollers or used stuffed toys please

"Registration" not required for in-kind donations.

Items may only be delivered during our hours of operation, and may not be left outside the door.

Basic Requirement: A passion for helping our neighbors.

Our volunteers are essential to our operations and we could not do what we do without them. You can contribute regardless of your physical abilities, skills, and whether you have a lot of time or only a little.  

We welcome young people to volunteer but please note that children must be at least aged 10 (unless part of an organized community group) and individuals 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Pick up donated food from local retail stores

Sort food and clothes and stock shelves and clothing racks

Assist guests in First Things First, Clothes Closet and Food Pantry

Help with cleaning and restocking of food

Transport food waste to compost and other items we cannot use to Goodwill

Come visit during our service hours to see how we operate and where you might best fit in.

(These mostly coincide with the times we are open)

3rd Sat. each Month 8:30 - 11am

Your community needs you!

A common need of our neighbors in need, not covered by government food assistance, is cleaning supplies:

Multi-purpose cleaning solutions and sprays

Laundry detergent and bleach

Dish detergent

Disinfecting wipes

Items may only be delivered during our hours of operation, and may not be left outside the door.

Do a collection of non-perishable food, diapers and/or personal care and cleaning products

Visit The Outreach House to sort and shelve the donations collected

Help with monthly deep cleaning of food pantry and storage and sorting area

(These mostly coincide with the times we are open)

Mon, Wed, Fri. 8 am - 12:15 pm

Wed. 4:30 - 6 pm

3rd Sat. each Month 8:30 - 11am

Groups of 10 or more are invited to volunteer at times we are not open.

The Food Pantry always needs donations of non-perishable food items delivered during our hours of operation (see below). High-protein items are especially beneficial. 

*** A food drive by your school or civic group is a great way to provide this.

The Clothes Closet always needs new or gently-used adult and children’s clothing delivered during our hours of operation (see below):

All types and sizes of clothing, especially for the current or upcoming season

Shoes and boots

Outerwear, including winter coats and gloves

We also welcome donations of Kohls Cash which we can use to purchase needed clothing items.

Have a gift card you don’t need? We can always use gift cards to purchase items for distribution to our guests. These can be delivered during our hours of operation (see below).

The Outreach House has ongoing needs for diapers, wipes and infant hygiene products; non-perishable food; cleaning supplies and clothing. Hosting a drive is a great way to help out and provide for neighbors in need.

The Outreach House needs support from volunteers with experience in fundraising events (both online and in person) and in marketing (newsletters, brochures, social media), If you have experience in either (or both!) of these areas and have the time volunteer with us (approx. 2 hours commitment a week outside of major fundraising events), we would love to hear from you.
