Our children and families are in need of everyday essentials such as toilet tissue, paper towels, bleach, and laundry detergent. These basic necessities—often taken for granted—make a world of difference for families struggling to get by. Please consider helping us provide these much-needed supplies.

We are in great need of office supplies (copy paper postage stamps, gift card to Office Depot or Jewel).

Have any unused fleece that you no longer need?

We are accepting donation of fleece to be used to create homemade baby blankets for sick or premature babies in the hospital. They will be donated to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or PICU/Emergency room where needed. Social workers and nursing staff assist in the delivery to families needing this gift of comfort.

The fleece will be cut down into 1 yard increments, so please avoid any 1/2 yard pieces. For each yard of fabric, we are able to create one baby blanket. We prefer to use both a pattern and a coordinating solid fleece to create the blankets. In this case, 1 yard of a pattern with 1 yard of a coordinating solid would create 2 dual-sided baby blankets. However, we are open to taking any donated fleece and matching it to a pattern or solid that we have in stock. We love neutral solids (greys, whites, navy, black), but can use all colors. For the patterned fleece, please select options that would work well for a baby's blanket.

We run the charity operations/blanket parties on evenings and weekends out of our home, so you can drop any fleece to our home address at: 945 Douglas Ave in Naperville, IL 60540. Please feel free to leave it on the front porch in a plastic bag to keep it safe from the weather.

Going shopping for the fabric is a fun activity. We hope that you enjoy picking out the fabric and remember to check for store coupons if available. Please know how special this fabric will be when turned into a cozy and comforting blanket for babies (and their families) in the hospital.

Every Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is a powerful and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors, and raise awareness about steps we can take to reduce the risk of getting breast cancer.

The Riverwalk Adult Day Services is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization dedicated to creating a safe and vibrant space for adults aged 18 and older who cannot stay home alone during the day. Our participants enjoy a variety of activities that spark joy, creativity, and connection - and we need your help to keep the fun going!

Paper Products

Collect paper products and donate them for use in our Senior Citizen Project. Providing these essentials allows for our seniors to utilize their limited income for other necessary bills. **We are now also providing these items to our families due to increased limiting of income.**

Over the course of the year we provide our seniors with: Over 9,500 Rolls of Toilet Paper, Over 6,200 Rolls/Boxes of Paper Towels and Tissues

Non Perishable Food

Throughout the course of the year HSP provides 123 TONS of food to the seniors, children and families enrolled in our programs. We are always in need of non-perishable food and are happy to provide you a list of items that we are most in need of.

The Parents’ Pantry is a place where Teen Parent Connection participants can shop for baby and personal items. Young parents can earn “Baby Bucks” by attending Teen Parent Connection meetings, keeping up with your child’s immunizations, attending school, etc. They can then “spend” their “Baby Bucks” in the pantry in exchange for wipes, diapers, formula, baby clothes and personal hygiene products.

The children served by CASA of DuPage County have been removed from their homes, often in haste and leave behind many of their personal belongings.  In order to help bring comfort to their new surroundings, we collect gift cards for children and teens to purchase items such as personal incidentals, toiletries, clothing, or other needed items related to their everyday lives.  Gift cards give children and teens the power of choice to select what they would like.

CASA of DuPage County is looking for organizations, families or other groups to set up gift card collection programs in increments of $25 to places like Target, Walmart, Kohls, Amazon, or Meijer (or other similar stores) where children's families can purchase needed items.

Visit on your time, on days and at times that work for you. What you do during your visit is up to you: talk, play cards, read out loud, look at pictures, listen to music, play music, play an instrument, sing, watch TV/movies, pray, play games, do crossword puzzles or word searches or a jigsaw puzzle, or whatever else you want to do with your patient that you think he or she would like. Share your talent or passion!

The Attendance and Truancy team is in need of incentives for students who meet attendance goals. Elementary, middle and high school age incentives are needed. Popular items include art supplies, journals, fidget toys, sports equipment, gift cards and snacks. Donations can be dropped off at either the Addison or Wheaton location. Donation pickups can be arranged on an individual basis. 

The Salvation Army Oakbrook Terrace serves between 350 and 450 families monthly through our Food Pantry.

DuCAP (DuPage County Area Project) is a 501c3 that service youth in the DuPage and Will County area. We have various clubs and events that run in Wheaton, Glendale Heights, Bensenville, Villa Park, Bolingbrook and Romeoville. 

We are looking for snack donations because as anyone with a 10-18 year old at home knows, they love snacks. Snacks will be used at activities like our open gym in Villa Park, Friday Funday in Bolingbrook, Lounge at the Library in Romeoville, and Casita Hangout in Bensenville. 

Snacks can include individually packaged - chips, pretzels, candy, fruit snacks (gushers, fruit roll ups), cookies, and water.

It is a huge help when volunteers like YOU can host a donation drive to collect items for our kids.  This is a fun way to give back that you can do by yourself, with your school, church or community group, with family, a group of friends or coworkers. There are some ideas below, but contact us if you are interested in our current need or have a new idea. Jackie, our Community Relations Director, loves to brainstorm ways groups can give back in a way that is most meaningful to them and our kids!

Toiletries, summer fun supplies/sporting equipment, pillows/cases, tie blankets, family board games, jewelry, Holiday stockings and stuffers, school supplies, gift cards to chain stores (ie. target, Walmart) so our youth can shop for their most urgent need, etc.

The Fuel Pantry is the food pantry at College of DuPage. We provide food assistance to any COD student, faculty, or staff member with a self-identified need. We're always in need of donations and are grateful for any items we receive. 

However our top needs are:

Donations can be dropped off at the donation bin inside the College of DuPage Student Resource Center entrance #7. The donation bin is next to the library drop box right outside the cafeteria.  During the first full week of May - we are celebrate National Nurses Week and we are looking for community members that would like to help us recognize the amazing work our clinical team does by catering a small lunch or dinner for the day and/or night shifts of nurses. Lunch meal would need to feed approximately 10-12 nurses and the evening meal would need to feed 5 people. We also would love to spoil the nurses with small gift cards to local coffee shops or anything else you are able to provide. Master's Touch Men's Ministry has an ongoing need for personal hygiene items. Northeast DuPage Family and Youth Services (NEDFYS) is a community-based organization which provides high quality, low cost social services to individuals and families who might not otherwise be able to afford them. NEDFYS works with children, adolescents, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds to promote physical and mental wellness, healthy relationships, and cognitive and social skill development.  

NEDFYS has several programs were our counselors work with adolescents.  We are in need of items such as:

Snacks: granola bars, chips, cookies, drinks, etc

Games: playing cards, board games, etc.

A common need of our neighbors in need, not covered by government food assistance, is cleaning supplies:

Multi-purpose cleaning solutions and sprays

Dish detergent

Disinfecting wipes

Items may only be delivered during our hours of operation, and may not be left outside the door.

The Food Pantry always needs donations of non-perishable food items delivered during our hours of operation (see below). High-protein items are especially beneficial. 

*** A food drive by your school or civic group is a great way to provide this.

Have a gift card you don’t need? We can always use gift cards to purchase items for distribution to our guests. These can be delivered during our hours of operation (see below).

The Outreach House has ongoing needs for diapers, wipes and infant hygiene products; non-perishable food; cleaning supplies and clothing. Hosting a drive is a great way to help out and provide for neighbors in need.

Our organization employs people with special needs and currently we move every paint can and bucket by hand.   Some of our staff has difficulty with this task and we hope to find a machine that can take pallets off of our truck and stack them on racks until our staff can get to them. 

We are in need of a forklift or  electric pallet jack.  Please consider us for your donation.

Each year Sharing Connections provides furniture and household items to over 7,000 individuals in transition - but we don’t do it alone. Join our efforts by starting your own group or business Dresser Building Challenge and help us provide over 600 dressers this year to families in transition. You will have a tour of our warehouse, explore what sharing means and take the challenge to build a dresser, as a team, for our clients in need.  Through your team building exercise, together we will furnish hope.

Great for groups, scouts, and corporate teams of 4 or more!

If you know how to knit, crochet, sew, or just use scissors - why not start on a critter blanket today? They're fast to make, and lots of fun! Once you have a few done, you can send them to a participating shelter in your state, or to CFC headquarters in Glen Ellyn, IL for distribution to a shelter.

* Knit or Crochet a Blanket - Knit or crochet a blanket using any pattern and any color of washable yarn. Feel free to mix and match colors, and even make up your own pattern! The finished blanket should be approximately 20 inches square. If it's not perfect (who is?) that's fine with us, and the critters!  If you'd like some ideal patterns for blankets, just check out our "Volunteer Resources" page of our website.

While most of the blankets we make and send are this size, we do love and support larger dogs and other "critters". So do feel free to make them doggie-sized if you like, or larger to accommodate larger pets. We gladly take ANY size blanket and will find the perfect animal to cuddle it!

* Make a Fleece Blanket - Use two pieces of fleece (so that it's nice and thick) - at least one piece should have a pattern, if possible. You can sew them together or cut and tie them. If they do have ties, please try to make the center (untied) portion of the blanket about 20-inches square.

If you don't have the time or expertise to make blankets for homeless pets, but you do have some extra yarn (leftover from a project) or a full skein you've never gotten around to using, we can put it to good use!  Any amount, any color 4-ply yarn will be gratefully accepted.

We also gladly accept any leftover fleece material. We use larger pieces of fleece to make blankets, and smaller strips to make pull-toys for shelter dogs. We have a 24/7 drop-off bin in Glen Ellyn, IL to receive donations.

The goal of the Children’s Project is to provide children with nutritional support at critical times of the year, a beautiful birthday box to celebrate their birthday, and school supplies for those children of school age.

We now are providing gifts for children turning 12 years old.  But we need items to fill their boxes. Below are items you can donate to help us celebrate these preteens. ** all gifts are new**

The goal is to create wonderful birthday memories to last a lifetime and to give children the opportunity to celebrate their special days with their family.

We need your help to make Christmas merry for over 1,600 children and seniors hoping for presents under the tree.  

Our goal is to provide every child with a book, toys, and a $25 gift card.  We aim to provide every senior with two $25 gift cards. Here are two ways that you can be Santa's helper:   

1. Purchase a $25 gift card to Target or Walmart. (Preferred stores of clients)

2. Purchase toys or host a toy drive. We need toys for kids ages 3 - 15 years old.

Serenity House is a non-for-profit agency that relies on the kindness of our donors and volunteers to continue to assist our staff in maintaining our properties and offering our clients the safe and secure living environment necessary for their ongoing recovery!

We accept donation of bedding, clothing, household items, as well as monarty Donations

Our clients are always in need of sheets, blankets and towels.

Need for Diapers, (sizes 1,2,3) wipes, Baby Laundrey Detergent, Baby Bath, Diaper Rash Cream  etc.

Anything that you would use and it would be used up immediately.

Care Packs provide household necessities that help refugees as they begin the rebuild their lives.

Habitat ReStores are home improvement stores that accept small and large donations of new or gently used furniture, appliance, housewares, building materials and more! Proceeds from the sales of these items help Habitat's work in your community and around the world! 

Drop-off donations can be made anytime between 10am and 4pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
