Volunteer: Food DistributionWeGo Together for Kids, Northwestern Medicine and the Northern Illinois Food Bank are starting a monthly mobile food distribution at Timber Lake Apartments. This will provide individuals with much needed healthy food items such as bread, cereals, meat, dairy, and fresh produce. People will also have the opportunity to interact with community partners offering resources ranging from literacy to mental health to nutrition. Volunteers will greet neighbors, help distribute food, and other duties as needed. Being bilingual in Spanish and English is very helpful but not required.
