Volunteer: Fostering Cats in Need**Urgent foster homes needed** We are constantly asked to help with cats who can no longer stay in their homes, or were found trying to survive on their own. We can help more cats with more foster homes - please reach out ASAP if you could give a cat in need a place to chill for a little while. We are most often asked to help with adults and seniors - while kittens are often popular for fosters, the adults & seniors need you the most! We are in need of foster homes to help prepare the cats in our rescue for adoption. We will set you up with the supplies and everything you need to care for the cats, cover all any needed vet appointments or costs...all you need is a quiet, separate space and some love to share! Chicagoland Animal Rescue, NFP is a small, all-volunteer cat rescue organization based out of the Downers Grove PetSmart at Butterfield & Finley Rd. Ideally, you should have some experience with cats, including medication, nail trims, and socializing, but we are willing to consider people who have not had a cat before as well. Foster parents must be 21 years or older only, and all members of the household must be on board with fostering and understand the expectations for doing so. Please fill out the fostering application here. Once you contact us, please keep an eye out for a follow up email from fundraising@chicagolandanimalrescue.org (and check your spam folder, too!) within about 24 hours. If you would like more information before filling out the application, please reach out to fundraising@chicagolandanimalrescue.org with your questions. We'll be happy to answer any and all questions you may have!! Our only physical location for visiting us or our cats is at the Downers Grove PetSmart, 1550 Butterfield Rd, Downers Grove IL. However, our foster homes should be within a 30-minute distance of the Lombard/Carol Stream area (as this is where our veterinarians are located). If you are unable to volunteer or foster, follow us on social media and share our adoptable cats. Please also consider making a donation to help support cats in need! Thank you for your time!
