College of DuPage People Educating People (PEP) Tutor Volunteer Program
Who We Are
People Education People (PEP) tutor volunteers primarily assist instructors as classroom tutors. PEP tutors work with adult students enrolled in English Language Acquisition (ELA) and State of Illinois High School Diploma (GED) programs at the College of DuPage. This may include one-on-one tutoring and small group tutoring (typically two to five students). PEP volunteers assist in English, reading, writing, and basic math.
What We Do
People Educating People (PEP) is the volunteer component of the Adult Education and English Language Acquisition (ELA) at College of DuPage. PEP has been supporting adult learners since 1982. Our mission is to equip adult students with confidence and skills necessary for success in daily life. This program requires all tutors to complete a 9-hour training series prior to working with students. Contact us today to learn how to get started!
