Who We Are

Our mission is to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to work in, contribute to, and enjoy their community.

Our Vocational and Recreational Program for Adults with Developmental Disabilities takes place every weekday and two Saturdays per month.

What We Do

Our participants (clients) are adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities which limit communication and social skills.

The first half of a day at Community Access Naperville (CAN) consists of vocational activities, which might include collating, shredding, food repackaging, or creating products for CAN to sell. The program staff and volunteers provide guidance as they work, so that they can make meaningful contributions to our community.  The remainder of each session is spent enjoying a recreational community outing.  The program is offered in a small group setting to meet the needs of our participants.
