Who We Are

DuPage Federation on Human Services Reform is a planning council for human services – we convene community leaders in a collaborative environment in order to build a strong human service sector that supports all community members and celebrates every community member reaching his or her full potential. We are a tax-exempt organization, governed by community leaders who represent human service, healthcare, business, education, courts, civic interests, public safety, and local and county government. We serve DuPage county and surrounding communities.

We believe that our entire community benefits when all community members reach their potential. To this end we promote access to human services: especially solving language barriers and complexity regarding public benefits eligibility.

What We Do

Our Council of Community Leaders convenes quarterly to generate solutions to the most difficult challenges for human services, to build capacity so all our neighbors can achieve their potential.

Our Language Access Resource Center (LARC): conducts a robust training program that teaches individuals the proper techniques, skills and industry terms to become professional interpreters; 2) fulfills requests for professional interpreters, telephonic interpreting services and translation services from local hospitals, schools, agencies and more; and 3) educates the community on all individuals’ rights to language access from any institution that receives Federal assistance, including medical care, education, and public assistance programs at no cost to the individual needing the service.

Our Training and Technical Assistance program provides the case managers, intake specialists and service advocates in our community with training and assistance on navigating the intricacies of applying for and working with public benefits, including Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, Social Security, Medicaid, and the Affordable Care Act marketplace in order to assist our community members who are facing challenges.

Our Data Analysis service provides a wide array of data supports to local human service organizations, government and educational programs, including:
o Design: Aid in the creation of qualitative and quantitative designs.
o Discovery: Locate data sources that answer questions, identify issues and support decisions.
o Analysis: Evaluate complex data output.
o Report: Write easy to digest reports.
o Visualization: Create visualizations such as maps and infographics that make it easier understand the data.
