Living Abundantly Ministries

Living Abundantly Ministries is a small but mighty team of Christ-followers working to empower churches and faith-based organizations to promote whole person wellbeing. Co-founded by our Executive Director, Angela Stephenson and Keith Wakeman, CEO of SuperBetter, the ministry operates as a 501c3 non-profit organization and is supported by an incredible team of volunteers.

Our team of volunteers seeks to address the health crisis in the U.S. through holistic wellbeing (mind, body, spirit, & relationship). Our mission is to activate Christians to live abundantly. (John 10:10)

Living Abundantly Ministries is working to strengthen the capabilities of churches and communities to promote a Christ-centered culture of healthy living in congregations, neighborhoods and cities.

At Living Abundantly Ministries we believe that all people are wonderfully and lovingly created in God’s image. We are amazing multi-faceted children of God; made of spirit, body, mind and relational wellbeing. 

By the world’s standards, Living Abundantly Ministries began as a radical idea. Can we create a new way to approach to self and community wellbeing that starts with a more full understanding of God’s love for us and promotes nurturing of the whole person, including those often neglected places where the spiritual, physical, mental, emotional and relational aspects of who we are all come together?

This radical idea was initially tested and validated in a successful study of a pilot program conducted in a church setting, now published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal. 

Our unique Christ-led, evidence-based Come Alive! program was created and optimized over several years with input from experts in nutrition, exercise, psychology, church small group program development, small group facilitation, ecumenical faith and cultural diversity.

Today, churches across many Christian faith traditions have implemented Come Alive! small group programs. Additionally, Come Alive! principles have become an integral component of the student health & wellness strategy of a respected Christian college. We are humbled by the grass roots excitement for Come Alive! and its impact on lives so far. We are excited to discover how God will use Come Alive! in the future.
