It is time for another Permablitz at the demonstration Edible Forest Garden on McDonald Farm. Last year’s sheet mulching was not enough to deter some of the tenacious weeds, so we plan on sheet mulching again, but with much more attention to detail and with extra thick layers. Enjoy the fall weather while working to build this educational project!
This will be a busy day of:
- laying cardboard
- shoveling, wheel barrowing, and raking leaves
- moving rocks
Please bring gloves and tools that will help with the job. Several wheelbarrows will be needed, so let us know if you can bring one.
Let’s make this a potluck event. Please bring a main dish, side dish, fruit, dessert, or beverage to share. We will provide a main dish, plateware, and silverware. Work is always much more fun when we can enjoy food together.
You can come for the entire time 10-3 pm or just part of the day. Any time you can spare to help with this project will be appreciated.
