Louis Theodore Miceli lost his life to Substance Use Disorder (SUD) in 2012 at the age of 24. Since that day, the LTM Foundation started in his memory, has been advocating for prevention of addiction through community and school awareness programs and providing support for affected families.
Even though more than 50,000 students have attended our "Reaching Kids Before Drugs Do" prevention Program in DuPage County, there is still much to be done. More than 2800 people lost their lives to overdoses in Illinois alone in 2017. Drug overdose is the No. 1 cause of preventable death in the US.
