Bridge Communities needs volunteers to work shifts at our fundraiser, the Glen Ellyn Backyard BBQ on September 11th. The event started as a grassroots effort by local Bridge supporters who wanted to have some fun and raise a little money in support of our mission to transition families from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
Over the past 13 years, this family-friendly event has grown to become the largest amateur BBQ competition in Illinois! It attracts thousands of BBQ and live music fans from across Chicagoland.
More information can be found here: https://www.bridgecommunities.org/News-events/Backyard-Barbeque-Cook-off.html.
Bridge is in critical need of volunteers to help make this another successful event.
We have options for adults and options to help for tweens/teens. Volunteers can be as young as 10 years old if there is an adult to assist, and volunteers can earn service hours for their time.
