The success of our Habitat ReStore depends on receiving, pricing and presenting the donated merchandise ready to sell. This benefits the customer with value-priced items; the environment by avoiding land-fills; and partner-families are provided with homes based on the funds generated from this store.
Cashier volunteers support the mission by providing a quality checkout experience for our customers. They are also responsible for processing transactions and accurately handling cash and checks. Responsibilities also include providing receipts and explaining the return policy when necessary.
Shifts are available Wednesday – Saturday – 10am-2pm or 2pm-6pm. There is a 2 shifts per month minimum. Volunteers must attend brief orientation on Wednesdays at 4pm or Fridays at 9am. For more information visit http://dupagerestore.com or contact us at restore@dupagehabitat.org or 630.517.2080
