Who We Are

Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry is a registered 501(c)(3) organization that serves residents of Addison, Bensenville, Berkeley, Elmhurst, Hillside, Lombard, Oak Brook, Oakbrook Terrace, and Villa Park.

We are dedicated to providing food, compassion, and hope to our neighbors and children in need.

What began as a walk-in closet in the Yorkfield Presbyterian Church serving 25 families per week in 1983 is now a 2,500 square-foot facility. Our client population is diverse – those unemployed or under employed and finding it difficult to make ends meet, single parents with little or no support, senior citizens on fixed incomes, those with disabilities, and those dealing with medical issues.

What We Do

EYFP is largely a volunteer service driven organization. Volunteer opportunities include serving our clients, food recovery and restocking, unloading food deliveries, and driving to pick up food donations from our grocery partners.

EYFP is not currently accepting volunteer requests from anyone under the age of 20 (except for NHS Service hours). We also are not able to accept court-mandated community service requests at this time.

The pantry is open during four shopping shifts per week, including evening and Saturday opportunities. Our clients can choose the food items that match their family preferences. We offer nutritious choices like meat, dairy, produce, and bread in addition to a large variety of non-perishable items

Please take a minute to complete our volunteer application vs. signing up on this site. This ensures you get a prompt response. You can find it at:
