The Play For All Playground & Garden Foundation's mission is to create barrier-free and universally accessible outdoor play spaces and gardens in DuPage County. Through the cognitive, social, and physical values of play, the Foundation will promote a spirit of inclusion and enhance quality of life, as well as support involvement in recreation and wellness activities for all people and abilities.
Sensory Garden Playground Project
The Sensory Garden Playground is a combination of sensory-integrated playground equipment and amenities along with gardening areas. The 40-acre facility is being developed in four phases. Phase I opened spring 2015. The playground is located in Danada South Park and is being further developed with the gracious support of public and private donors. Phase I
Thanks to the gracious support of donors, Phase I of the Sensory Garden Playground project is complete and opened in spring 2015. Phase I includes the following:
- 2 to 5-Year-Old Playground Area
- Fragrance Garden
- Paved Pathways
- Sound Garden
- Accessible Tree House with Gravity Rail
- Net Climber
Future phases:
Sensory Garden Playground Project Phases will be completed as funding is secured. These phases will include:
- 5 to 12-Year-Old Playground Area
