Who We Are
Community Assisted Rides (CARS) is a non-profit organization whose vision is to unite generations in helping older adults thrive as they age, which in turn fosters a connected and compassionate community which benefits us all.
What We Do
Community Assisted Rides (CARS) provides transportation for seniors (60+) and friendly outreach services. The older adults CARS serve are our parents, neighbors, former teachers and childhood leaders - a generation of people whose wisdom and talents shaped our community. Now they need a some assistance from us -- not just to stay connected to their community, but to get to essential appointments and life-enhancing errands when they no longer feel comfortable or are unable to drive themselves.
As a CARS volunteer, you will bring security, dignity, and companionship to local older adults while cultivating a community whose citizens look out for one another. Plus, our volunteer schedules are highly flexible.
