Community Assisted Rides

Community Assisted Rides (CARS) is a non-profit organization whose vision is to unite generations to help older adults thrive as they age, which in turn fosters a connected and compassionate community.

Community Assisted Rides (CARS)  provides older adults with safe, accompanied ride services and friendly outreach.  The older adults CARS serve are our parents, neighbors, former teachers and childhood leaders - a generation of people whose wisdom and talents shaped our community.  Now they need a little assistance from us -- not just to stay connected to their community, but to get to essential appointments and life-enhancing errands when they no longer feel comfortable or are unable to drive themselves. 

As a CARS volunteer, you'll bring secuirty, dignity, and companionship to local older adults while cultivating a community whose citizens look out for one another. Plus, our volunteer schedules are highly flexible and all training is provided.
