New Chicago Brass

New Chicago Brass is a 10-piece brass ensemble in the style of the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble. Our performing members are freelance brass players based in Chicago who regularly perform with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the Milwaukee Symphony, as well as holding positions in regional orchestras around the Chicagoland area. A number of our members also teach at colleges and universities in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions and are regularly sought after as clinicians and adjudicators for various contests and festivals.

New Chicago Brass is a 10-piece ensemble made up of today's top freelancing brass players. We perform at universities around the country, at various artist series in the Chicagoland area, and we have an upcoming performance at the Midwest Clinic, an international band and orchestra conference. Future goals include educational presentations for all ages, seminars for young professionals, commissioning of new works for our instrumentation, forming a chamber brass music camp, and more.
