Who We Are
Faubourg Theatre is a nonprofit, performing arts organization, where students are encouraged to explore various facets of the dance world, discover themselves in new ways and reflect on their experiences. Faubourg Theatre is a pre-professional classical ballet academy that shares its instructional talent in the local schools providing after school and summer enrichment programming: Literacy through the Arts.
What We Do
Faubourg Theatre uses the performing arts as a medium to engage and empower young people and families, bridging cultures and communities through the arts and education. Faubourg Theatre collaborates with Keeneyville School District 20 to engage students who are struggling in school and/or at home in the Literacy Through the Arts Summer Enrichment Program. This collaboration includes community members, arts and educational organizations, and families to support students to maintain academic gains made during the school year, focusing on reading comprehension, math concepts, and social-emotional growth. The performing arts engages the children to express themselves and their ideas, bridging their development as thoughtful and creative thinkers.
