Who We Are
We know that when essential needs are met, families flourish. So, we work to transform lives and strengthen community through programs that support education and self-reliance while fostering a sense of connection and belonging. Located in Hinsdale and part of a national organization with chapters throughout the United States, Assistance League Chicagoland West serves children and adults in need across DuPage and western Cook counties. Program services, fundraising, and administration are carried out entirely by our member volunteers.
What We Do
We support education pre-K through college via reading programs, essential outerwear and school clothing, and COD scholarhips. We encourage family health and independence with all new kitchen essentials for persons transitioning from homelessness to independent living. We continually monitor and pivot our programs to reach those in need and provide them with resources that will help them to feel relevant in the community.
