Who We Are
Almost Home Kids provides a bridge from hospital to home through an innovative community based care system for children with medical complexities. We respond to the needs of the families, train the caregivers, offer respite care, advocate for accessibility and inclusion and educate healthcare professionals.
What We Do
Almost Home Kids is a short term community based pediatric healthcare facility that provides 24/7 nursing care in a home-like setting for children with complex medical conditions and training for their families. Volunteers are needed to spend some quality time engaging the children in developmental play or simply TLC we care for when their parents cannot be there. You would need to be comfortable with children dependent on medical technology for their daily living although you do not need a medical background to join our volunteer team!
