Who We Are
The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County strives to protect and improve the county's natural areas while providing high-quality educational and recreational experiences for the people who call DuPage home.
The Forest Preserve District’s volunteer program offers something for any interest for individuals and groups alike. Our volunteer program engages volunteers who are willing to donate their time, talents and resources to support staff in carrying out our organizational mission, purpose and guiding principles.
Long-term volunteer opportunities are available in 12 programs and require a one-year commitment. These programs offer weekly, monthly, seasonal, one-day or special-project commitments. If interested, complete and return a volunteer application, available at dupageforest.org/get-involved/volunteer. Our Volunteer Services office will review your completed application, and we will coordinate a time to discuss your volunteer interest.
Short-term opportunities include restoration or group-oriented workdays in our forest preserves. Our workdays at dupageforest.org at “Calendar of Events”. For group or corporate workday, contact Volunteer Services at 630-933-7233 or visit Corporate, Group & Scout Volunteer Opportunities page on our website. Forest Preserve District volunteers must sign a waiver and meet minimum age requirements.
What We Do
