Who We Are
Hinsdale Humane Society, a private non-profit animal shelter and adoption center since 1953, offers a wide variety of community-based programming to advocate for homeless pets and responsible pet care. Humane education programs for all ages on a variety of animal-related topics, Pet Therapy programs, Dog obedience classes and a behavior helpline are just a few that are available to the public.
A strong volunteer base assists with socializing animals, administrative tasks, transport, cleaning and organization and accepting donations of pet supplies and financial donations to support the animals in our care.
What We Do
The Hinsdale Humane Society is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to the care and adoption of homeless animals.
We advocate education and public service to encourage the compassionate treatment of animals and to prevent their suffering and neglect.
We are a voice for companion animals who are dependent on people for their care and believe they are entitled to our respect and protection.
