Who We Are

Our League works to improve the lives of women and children 0-5 who live in poverty in Kane and DuPage Counties.  We focus our efforts of programs, direct service and advocacy on the areas of nutrition and health, early childhood education, and family stability and shelter.  We partner with a strong network of area service agencies and schools in the surrounding area to expand our impact within our communities.

What We Do

The Junior League of Kane & DuPage Counties, Inc. (JLKD) provides outreach services to organizations and individuals in Kane, DuPage, Will and Kendall Counties. Our members, reflecting a wide range of backgrounds, interests and professional pursuits, work together to identify unmet needs, forge effective coalitions and work for change.

JLKD was chartered in 1995 and is one of 293 members of the Association of Junior Leagues International, putting the trained talents and energies of 155,000 women into action. Junior League women are focused on addressing the basic needs of our community, including food, health care, housing and education, but also cultural enrichment projects which inspire children and families to broaden their imaginations and knowledge of the world around them.
