In the call center, callers are linked to community resources to find solutions to their immediate needs - for things like food, clothing and shelter. Longer-term solutions to help families move forward are also discussed such as job skills training, job search help, budget counseling, family counseling and other services. Callers are connected to local Pastors for spiritual guidance if desired. The LOVE HELP program also offers limited financial assistance to help avoid imminent eviction and keep families or individuals current on utility bills or rent.
Churches also collect products such as cleaning supplies, toys, gym shoes and gas vouchers to help families offset expenses for basic needs.
