Who We Are

The Outreach House’s reason for being is simple – to provide compassionate and effective assistance to individuals and families in the York Township area with dignity and without judgment.  We offer four programs to families in need of food, clothing, emergency assistance and diapers & infant hygiene.

What We Do

Our primary programs are:

Food Pantry: The Food Pantry distributes food to anyone in York Township, Glendale Heights or Addison in need of nutritious food. Guests are able to choose the items they need from a selection of fresh produce, protein, dairy and nutritious non-perishables.

First Things First:  We believe every child deserves a dry diaper.  We provide infant care items to low-income families with children up to age 3. Families receive baby basics such as diapers, wipes, infant formula and toddler foods, bathing supplies and clothing.

Clothes Closet: The Clothes Closet provides clean, gently used clothing for men, women and children. Fall and Winter are our most crucial seasons, when we provide coats and gloves to as many of our clients as possible.

Walk-in Assistance: Limited financial help with utility bills to help a family keep their lights, water, or power on.
