Who We Are

Phil’s Friends is a national faith-based nonprofit founded by two-time cancer survivor Phil Zielke. Phil’s Friends sends thoughtfully curated care packages to cancer patients across the country. Each care package includes a warm fleece blanket, a soft knitted cap, playing cards and word puzzles, a Bible, and many other comfort items a patient can use while going through treatment. They also receive ongoing Cards of Hope, which include a personal message, and prayer. Everything is designed to bring hope to those going during this difficult time, to remind them that they are not alone. The care packages and Cards of Hope are free to send and free to receive.

What We Do

Do you know someone with cancer? Request a free care package today!

Following a care package, individuals then receive monthly Cards of Hope for one year.

Want to get involved?

Each week hundreds of volunteers gather at our three regional Hope Centers in Addison and  Wheaton, IL, and Crown Point, IN. They decorate boxes, color Cards of Hope and write personalized messages inside, and assemble care packages.

We send approximately 250 care packages every week and mail 9,000+ Cards of Hope monthly across the country, so we are always in need of volunteers.

Come join us! We welcome individuals and groups, alike!

Interested in supporting our mission financially? Give online today!

Together, we are spreading hope and sharing Christ,

one care package, one card, and one life at a time.

With Gratitude,

The Phil's Friends Team
