Heartland Hospice

Heartland Hospice is located in Westmont, we service the following counties: Lake, Cook, Will, Kankakee, DuPage, McHenry, Kane, Kendall and Grundy. We are a person centered hospice organization. Volunteers are crucial to hospice work. They were once the backbone to the hospice movement when it first started and they are still very much the backbone today. We match volunteers with patients closest to their home or within the area in which the volunteer is willing to travel. Our Volunteers are trained extensively and empowered in their support role.  We have several Volunteer opportunities available, so please inquire.

Hospice provides physical, psychological, and spiritual care for a person with terminal illness. The focus of hospice care is to ensure the highest quality of life for our patients. Unlike other medical services, hospice does not seek to cure a disease. Rather, it focuses on comfort & quality of life. Services are offered by professionals for the person with terminal illness, as well as for that person’s family and friends. Hospice care considers all aspects of the person, the family, and/or the loved one’s experience.
