Who We Are
The mission of the Greater Chicago Cage Bird Society is to care for homeless exotic cage birds through the GCCBS Rescue and Adoption Shelter and to share knowledge of exotic cage birds through open meetings and other educational events.
What We Do
We feed, house, and find forever homes for abandoned, neglected, or abused pet birds, primarily parrots. We also ensure avian vet service to maintain the birds' health. Birds are provided social interaction with other birds and humans. Through volunteer caring, we provide a refuge for these beautiful exotic creatures and meet their needs both long and short term. We are 100% volunteer based organization.
