DuPage Habitat works toward a vision by building strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves.

We believe that owning a home is major milestone on the road to a family's financial success, and a key component of community's economic stability. Since 1995, DuPage Habitat has sold and repaired homes to over 130 limited-income families, helping over 150 children thrive. At DuPage Habitat, we believe in a hand up rather than a hand out. We offer a hand up by enabling our partner families to achieve the pride of homeownership working side by side with community volunteers to build or repair their home. In fiscal year 2017 alone, DuPage Habitat will serve 2,600 DuPage residents through new construction, rehab construction, home repair and Neighborhood Revitalization efforts.
