This volunteer opportunity consists of working to maintain our "gem" of a prairie. Most of this maintenance consists of pulling out or cutting out invasive plant species. Volunteers from 13 into their 80's join for an orientation near the corner of Berkley Avenue and Prairie Path Lane (just west of Spring Road). Then we divide into groups with provided tools, such as pruning shears or loppers.
Please come dressed for gardening work, like long pants, long-sleeved shirt, closed-toed shoes, and hat. Dress for the weather! We can provide gloves, loppers, and pruning shears, but bring your own if you can. Bring your water on hot days.
