The Silent Samaritan event embodies the community spirit, partnership, and support that has enabled us to achieve significant milestones in helping lift women, and their children, with limited financial resources, out from the shadows of mental illness. These are women in difficult financial circumstances due to factors such as low wages, job loss, high debt and lack of affordable insurance. They are also mothers parenting alone, widows isolated in bereavement, married women in failing relationships and survivors of domestic abuse.
Last year, we served 1,039 clients, of which 825 (63%) were female, and provided over $438,000 of fee subsidized care through our Mental Health Access Program. This event enables SamaraCare to raise needed funds for this very vital program so that we can continue to help more women gain access to quality mental health counseling at an affordable cost. These are women who need help from Silent Samaritans like you.
Sponsorship opportunities are available; individual tickets are $50.
The next breakfast will take place on the morning of Thursday, April 16th at the Naperville Marriott Hotel.
