Celebrity Chefs Brunch
This multi-course gourmet meal, combined with sensational silent and live auctions, is the major fundraiser for Holiday Meals on Wheels. Guests look forward to the auctions and sampling the unique dishes from Chicagoland area chefs and restaurants. Take part and help make a difference for our seniors!

What is Food Insecurity?
- Many seniors experience problems with the availability, accessibility and utilization of food – they can’t get to the store, are physically unable to prepare meals, etc.
- Food insecurity among low-income elders is a special concern due to unique nutritional needs and health conditions requiring special diets.
- The publicly funded program is limited, so on weekends and holidays seniors might go without a nutritious meal, many choosing between food and medicine, utilities, etc.
Why Holiday Meals on Wheels?
- The goal is to provide our vulnerable and nutritionally at-risk elders with the most basic of human needs - one nutritious meal a day, every day!
- In addition to the food delivery, friendly and familiar volunteers provide a well-being check for seniors that may otherwise not have any other daily interaction.
