Plant the seed for a healthier community. All proceeds benefit the GardenWorks’ programming to improve food security and fresh food access.
Join us at our signature fall fundraising event, Harvest Against Hunger, where we gather to celebrate and support our work towards a more sustainable, equitable, healthier future. This creative collaboration with College of DuPage’s Culinary, Hospitality, Horticulture, and Music Departments will be held at COD’s Street Scene venue, located at the Miller Homeland Security Education Center in Glen Ellyn.
Spend a memorable evening on October 14 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in this unique and immersive setting where guests can stroll down a full-scale neighborhood “street.” Enjoy farm-to-table style culinary delights crafted by COD culinary chefs, specialty garden cocktails, and a custom garden-themed brew by Skeleton Key Brewery.
All proceeds support The GardenWorks Project's spring 2024 programs and participants, nourishing our community with better access to fresh produce and promoting a more vibrant, inclusive and equitable food system.
At this one-of-a-kind event, guests will enjoy:
- Creatively curated small plates showcasing local farms’ seasonal produce and locally sourced meats and fish;
- Specially garden cocktails, mocktails, wine, and the debut of a custom local brew from Skeleton Key Brewery (Woodridge);
- Live music, interactive activities, and the opportunity to win great prizes, including dinner for two at COD’s exclusive Waterleaf Restaurant;
- Stories of GardenWorks' impact on food security and access within our region
- A parting gift of seasonal culinary delights created by COD chefs.
