We seek a passionate and dedicated Public Relations Intern to join This Girls Story. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in shaping our public image, creating compelling narratives, and building connections with media outlets and community partners, all while supporting a mission-driven organization focused on amplifying girls' voices.
Based in DuPage County, IL, much of the work can be done remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing public relations strategies to promote events, programs, and key initiatives.
- Draft press releases, media pitches, and newsletters to share our mission and achievements.
- Help establish and maintain relationships with local and regional media contacts.
- Support the coordination of interviews, public appearances, and speaking engagements for team members.
- Monitor media coverage and contribute to reports on public perception and campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the marketing/outreach committee to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
Qualifications:
