Organization Description
The ReStore, located in Addison, takes donations of new & gently used building materials and sells them to the general public. The proceeds are used to fund DuPage Habitat’s mission of providing affordable housing. The DuPage Habitat ReStore was launched in July 2011 near Route 53 and North Avenue in Addison, IL, in a warehouse space of 25,000 square feet. The ReStore is run by a staff of two full-time employees, five part-time employees and over 50 volunteers.
Position Goals:
1) Develop, implement, and document sustainable marketing and outreach strategies that ultimately contribute towards an increase in unrestricted revenue from increased numbers of store purchases and donations.
2) Research and implement best practices for standard ReStore operating policies and procedures;
3) Work with affiliate staff to build a sustainable deconstruction program
4) Work with affiliate staff in assisting with the marketing, procurement and planning for opening a second ReStore
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required:
? Valid Driver’s License and ability to meet host site’s insurance requirements.
? Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word/Excel), Power Point, Internet research
? Strong written and verbal communication skills
? Knowledgeable about the mission and activities of Habitat for Humanity
? Detail oriented and highly organized
? Experience working with volunteers or teaching/group facilitation experience
? Public speaking experience preferred
? Marketing experience is highly desirable, including running database queries on programs such as Raiser’s Edge
? Retail experience preferred
Physical requirements:
? Ability to sit at a desk and computer for extended periods of time
? About 20% of this position requires outreach in the community, including visiting other ReStores and community locations that may have stairs for speaking and recruitment activities.

Salary: Stipend provided by AmeriCorps. Housing will be available.
