Each summer Catholic Charities hosts a Back to School Fair event for school age children in DuPage County. The Back to School Fair is a drive through event for more than 700 families and 1200 children to receive new backpacks and school supplies for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. Families are also offered information on how to access additional services within DuPage County.
Catholic Charities is looking for volunteers to help facilitate this year's Back to School Fair on July 30, 2025. Roles include assisting with traffic monitoring, registering and checking in families/cars, distributing backpacks, and additional event support. The fair runs from 11am-5pm at the DuPage County Fairgrounds on Manchester Rd in Wheaton.
