A fun for the whole family event, Mini Makers Day exposes children, teens and adults to the history of tradesmen (the original makers) and the art, science, technology and craftiness of the Maker Movement today. Guests can watch live demonstrations, participate in hands-on workshops and activities, converse with expert Makers in radically different fields and experiment with tech-enabled gadgets like 3D printers. There will be opportunities for guests of all ages to put their hands and minds to work designing, problem-solving and building. Admission includes free sundaes from Colonial Cafe with do-it-yourself toppings. Ice cream is served from 2 to 3:30 p.m. and is limited to the first 200 guests. Volunteers will be helping with hands on activities.
