The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers for the 2017 WBBM Good Neighbor Radiothon!
When: Friday, December 8, 2017
Time: 5am until 11pm
Where: Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg
A description of volunteer assignments is shown below. All positions require volunteers who are friendly, enthusiastic and flexible, as we may need you to easily shift volunteer assignments as needed.
Please read the descriptions below and follow the registration process at the end of this email.
Answering Phones/Taking pledges
- Volunteers are still needed for afternoon slots beginning at 1pm and ending at 11pm.
- Volunteers must be comfortable speaking on the phone and must be able to write legibly as they will be taking pledges from callers.
- Volunteers wishing to work multiple shifts must request that when they register.
- Volunteers will need to arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled shift start time for orientation.
Angel Tree table (9am until 8pm)
- Volunteers will be scheduled for a minimum 2-hour shift; multiple shifts are available.
- Volunteers must be comfortable dealing with the public as they will be interacting with shoppers and handing out Angel Tree tags.
- Volunteers will need to arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled shift start time for orientation.
Kids Corner (10am until 1pm and 3pm until 6pm)
- Volunteers will be scheduled for a minimum 1-hour shift; multiple shifts are available.
- Volunteers must be comfortable dealing with children as they will be helping them with coloring pages.
- Volunteers will be expected to arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled shift start time for orientation.
Kettle Ringers (10am until 1pm)
- Volunteers will be scheduled for a minimum 2-hour shift; multiple shifts are available.
- Volunteers must be comfortable working outside.
- Volunteers must be comfortable dealing with the public.
- Volunteers will be expected to arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled shift start time for orientation.
