Director of Programs; Access DuPage and DuPage Health Coalition

Description:
Since 2001, the DuPage Health Coalition has built enduring partnerships that improve health access for low income residents of DuPage County. The Director of Programs at the DuPage Health Coalition directs its flagship health program for the uninsured, Access DuPage, coordinating comprehensive health access for 6,000 low income DuPage County residents each year. This role involves effective management of programs and personnel, collaborative community partnership development, and overseeing select DuPage Health Coalition internal operations.

Essential Duties:
Personnel and Program Management
- Directs programmatic arms of the Access DuPage program including enrollment, care coordination, pharmacy management, and outreach. Responsible for selection, orientation, training, supervision and evaluation of program staff to ensure optimum performance and flexible functioning.
- In partnership with DHC Leadership,
- Develops and implements all policies, procedures, and processes connected with health safety net services.
- Collaborates in support of strategic program growth.
- Works closely with purchased services including bookkeeping, analytics, web services, and IT, managing associated deliverables
Stewardship and Relationship Management
- Develops and enhances established relationships with all partnering organizations and individual providers who support health safety net services for Access DuPage program. The management of relationships within the health and human service sector are especially critical to this role. Successful relationship management reflects both cultivation and proactive outreach.
- In partnership with DHC Leadership,
- Interprets and promotes Access DuPage program and services to the community, the industry, and regulatory bodies; oversees the public presentation and marketing of Access DuPage program to professional and general public audiences; serves as an ambassador for the DHC program portfolio.
- Supports DHC President and Development Director in fund development and reporting activities.
Operational Management
- Manages most aspects of Human Resources, including hiring and termination, payroll, personnel record management, benefit coordination as well as annual evaluations, discipline and compensation.
- Ensures the office runs smoothly, overseeing basic maintenance and supply procurement
- In partnership with DHC Leadership,
- responsible for the integrity of financial operations, bookkeeping, contracts, and audits; supports development of budgets and oversees financial reporting for funders
- Works with President on all regulatory compliance and liability insurance for both Access DuPage and the DuPage Health Coalition Board.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or Public Health Administration or a relevant discipline and at least 5 years of experience in a management role within the health care field.
- Demonstrated achievement in program management.
- Prior experience in managing teams
- Working knowledge of the healthcare environment, including population health management for safety net populations
- Exceptional communication skills, written and oral.
- Strong personal integrity.
