Volunteer support is needed in the following areas for West Chicago's annual garden festival, Blooming Fest, on Saturday, May 19th from 9AM-3PM. We are looking for volunteers to commit to at least 2 hours of support.
- Greeters at main entryways distributing maps/vendor lists to attendees
- Children's Area coordinators (children can jump rope, use sidewalk chalk, play with bubbles, hula hoop, and get their faces painted in this area)
- Face painters for Children's Area
- City tent support (distributing giveaways and supporting the community engagement activity)
This event is free to the public, featuring over 80 vendors selling a variety of plants, garden accessories, art, and crafts in addition to providing educational information and children's activities.
