Competitive Cycling Returns to Lombard!
The DuPage Sports Commission is bringing competitive cycling back to downtown Lombard with the inaugural Lombard Cycling Classic. As part of the Intelligentsia Cup Series, the Lombard Cycling Classic is a one-day, all-day, event expected to welcome upwards of 1,000 amateur and professional cyclists, and their guests, from around the world to Lombard on July 23, 2019.
The course is a criterium loop (roughly a mile long) in downtown with a start/finish line near the local favorite Babcock's Grove House. This event will also feature a kids race for Lombard and DuPage residents, allowing them to race the same course!
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist as course marshalls to ensure the safety of spectators and direct pedestrian crossing points.
All volunteers will receive an official volunteer race t-shirt, a DuPage Sports Commission cap, meal coupon, and snacks and beverages throughout the event.
