Description

Become part of a dedicated group of volunteers that meet monthly to help the land at O'Hara Woods in Romeoville. Participate in a variety of habitat restoration activities depending on the season. Volunteers meet on the fourth Saturday of each month.

	16 and older
	Is Outdoors
	Inclement Weather Plan: If weather is unsafe, the workday will be canceled until the following month. We keep an email list of participants and will inform volunteers if an activity is canceled.
	Work may include using tools like loppers and saws, lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time. We also offer lighter work such as litter cleanup.
	We do our best to accommodate special needs and offer a variety of activities for different abilities.
	Volunteer work may involve sharp tools. Volunteers under 16 years old must come with an adult. Volunteers 16-18 years old need to complete a waiver signed by an adult.
	Training will be provided at the start of every workday. All volunteers will be asked to sign a waiver before working.
