Caring and compassionate volunteers are needed to visit patients in the DuPage area. Visit patients at a facility near you weekly and engage them with music, reading, conversing, laughing, drawing, or taking for a walk. Patients would love to see you and are suffering from a life-limiting disease.
Visit at least 2 hours per week for at least 4-6 months, or 4-7 hrs. if you are volunteering for the summer only. We ask for you to come in for an interview to our Winfield office and fill out an application, background check, and get a TB Test at one of our clinics (or provide a copy on file from recent visit). Training is 3.5 hrs. with topics that will give you the information you need to be successful. We support you throughout the process and during your volunteering as well with help concerning questions and education quarterly.
Ask about our Reiki Volunteers, Pet Therapy, Music programs, Veterans, office assisting and events. Minimum age requirement is 18. We hope to hear from you soon!
