Gentiva Hospice is looking for people from all walks of life to hang out with one patient three hours per month (most often one hour per visit on three different days) as a patient visiting friend.

- complete a word search or crossword puzzle together

Work with patient three times per month, any days and times you choose, and spend one hour together each time you visit in person. We are flexible and can work with your schedule and availability and distance you are willing to travel. Full training is provided.
We have patients all over the Chicagoland area and you can choose how far you want to drive to see your hospice patient. Must be able to pass drug screen, background check, physical and fingerprinting. We also need proof of a TB test within the last year. We provide them free of charge at our office in Oak Brook.
