Summary: As a crew leader, you are integral to our goals of building more homes and strengthening neighborhoods and communities throughout our service area.
Position:
- Complete hands-on construction tasks including but not limited to, site prep, framing, painting, carpentry, landscaping, and clean up (primarily December through March)
- Lead a group of volunteers to complete tasks assigned by site supervisor (primarily April through November)
- Ensure work is completed in a safe manner
- Help with larger community or affiliate build events (i.e. Women Build, Veterans Build, Rock the Block)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- A passion for helping and teaching others
- A base knowledge of tools and construction
- Teaching and group facilitation skills
Physical requirements necessary to perform this job:
- Ability to be on one's feet for extended periods of time, often on rough and uneven terrain
- Ability to life at least 50 lbs on occasion
- Ability to work on ladders and heights of up to 2-stories on occasion
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions - sites aren't always heated during winter or air-conditioned during summer
