History
Founded in 2020, the Illinois Conservatory for the Arts was established to address the need for a comprehensive arts education program in the Western suburbs of Chicago. Since its inception, the school has served over 600 students, providing them with rigorous training and mentorship from professional artists and educators. Our programs reflect a commitment to excellence, diversity, and innovation, with a strong focus on preparing students for future success in the arts and beyond.
What We Do
The Illinois Conservatory for the Arts accomplishes its mission of providing transformative arts education by offering a rigorous balance of arts and academic instruction for students in grades 6–12. Our programs are designed to foster creativity, discipline, and leadership in young artists while preparing them for collegiate and professional success. Key programs and activities include:
Full-Day Academic and Arts Curriculum: Students engage in a dual curriculum that integrates challenging academic coursework with immersive arts training in music, theatre, and other disciplines.
Studio Program: An 8-week after-school initiative offering specialized, intensive training in specific artistic disciplines, led by industry professionals.
Community Partnerships: Collaborations with local organizations and professional artists to provide students with real-world arts experiences and opportunities.
Outreach and Inclusion Efforts: Scholarships and outreach programs ensure that talented students from diverse backgrounds have access to world-class arts education.
