Who We Are
We are an all-volunteer foster home cat rescue. We encourage you to visit our cats available for adoption at the Downers Grove PetSmart, and stop in during store hours and on our social media and website. Chicagoland Animal Rescue, NFP is organized exclusively for the rescue, care, and adoptive placement of primarily cats. We rescue abandoned and unwanted cats through veterinarians, animal shelters, animal control facilities, and family relinquish. Chicagoland Animal Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run organization. We receive no government funding, and are able continue our efforts due to the generosity of our donors and adopters.
Chicagoland Animal Rescue, NFP is an Illinois not-for-profit corporation and exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).
What We Do
We rescue needy, abandoned, and unwanted cats and kittens from our local animal services, and when able we take in an occasional owner surrender.
Our cats are examined by a veterinarian, blood tested, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and parasite tested/treated, and given additional treatment as necessary while they are in the care of our volunteers.
